Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics’ Spring 2017 Lip Tar Lineup
EeeEeeee, I love spring SO friggin’ much! It’s a time of change and transformation, and not just for Motha Nature. We’re all switchin’ up our wardrobe and makeup to reflect the season, so expect lots of spring-y posts on VBR, starting with this one.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) recently released their “Nothing Shocking” Spring 2017 Lip Tars, and like their name implies, you won’t find any out-there greens, blues, yellows or funky shades, just neutrals, grunge-y beiges, browns, and taupes.
If you’re new to OCC, their liquid lipstick is highly pigmented (only the smallest amount of product is needed for full coverage and a natural créme-matte finish), it’s easily mix & matchable, and it has frickin’ staying power. All of their products are vegan and cruelty-free, too!
OCC’s “Nothing’s Shocking” Spring 2017 Lip Tar Lineup
- Bon Bon – deep plum pink with gold pearl
- Spike – greyed taupe brown
- Plush – muted berry red
- St. Sebastian – metallic taupe
- Wish – warm pink nude
- Devotee – nude/beige
Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Oil, Mentha X Peprita (Peppermint) Oil, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E), Stearalkonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate [+/-]: Silica Dimethyl Silylate, D&C Red #6 (CI 15850), D&C Red #7 (CI 15850), D&C Red #27 (CI 45410), D&C Red #30 (CI 73360), FD&C Blue #1 (CI 42090), FD&C Yellow #5 (CI 19140), FD&C Yellow #6 (CI 15985), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Mica (CI 77019)
The hemp oil and vitamin E oil give these lippies a moisturizing finish that feels and looks good. They’re also synthetic preservative-free courtesy of peppermint oil, a natural antibacterial and antimicrobial alternative.
And seriously, how gorgeous are these shades!? I’m especially smitten with Wish and Plush.
Which spring OCC Lip Tar shades are you most excited to try?
